When to Display the U.S. Flag
The U.S. flag may be displayed at any time, 24 hours a day if properly illuminated during dark hours. Keep in mind, during inclement weather the flag should be removed to preserve the integrity of the flag. It is custom to fly from sunrise to sunset outside on a stationary pole.
